Music City Youth in the Arts Announces Four New Members to Board of Directors

Music City Youth in the Arts is proud to announce the addition of four new members to its Board of Directors, further strengthening the organization’s leadership as it continues to grow and expand its impact throughout the marching arts community.
Joining the Board of Directors are:
Ken Youngstead, CPA | Nonprofit Financial Advisor, Baker Tilly
Lloyd Jones | Retired College Professor & Music Educator
Keely Judson | Alumni & Educational Sales Professional, Fork’s Drum Closet
Steve Stricker | Scientific Director, Oncology R&D, AbbVie
Each new member brings professional experience and a shared commitment to supporting youth through education, leadership development, and the performing arts. Their addition reflects the organization’s continued focus on long-term growth, sustainability, and community engagement.
“We are excited to welcome these four individuals to the Music City Youth in the Arts Board of Directors,” said Chris Cooper, President of the Board of Directors. “Each of them brings valuable experience, fresh perspectives, and a genuine passion for supporting young people through the performing arts. As our organization continues to grow, their leadership and commitment will help strengthen our mission and position us for an even brighter future.”
The new board members officially began their terms during the organization’s April Board of Directors meeting and will support Music City Youth in the Arts across strategic planning, fundraising, community engagement, governance, and long-term sustainability initiatives.
Music City Youth in the Arts continues to build momentum following a historic 2025 season for Music City Drum Corps, which achieved the highest competitive finish in organization history while continuing to expand educational programming and community outreach efforts.
“The momentum surrounding Music City Youth in the Arts right now is incredibly exciting,” Cooper added. “Our organization is continuing to evolve in meaningful ways, and adding strong community leaders to our board ensures we can continue creating life-changing opportunities for the students and performers we serve.”
