Blake Norre

Visual Staff

Blake Norre holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. With seven years of experience in drum corps, he marched with Southwind, The Cadets, and The Bluecoats. He held various leadership roles throughout his journey including trumpet section leader and assistant drum major at Southwind. In 2016 he was awarded Southwind’s member of the year.

Blake currently teaches middle school band in Pensacola, FL. Over the last 5 years he has worked with numerous groups along the Gulf Coast, including Pace High School, St. Martin Independent Percussion, Gulf Breeze High School, and more! He most recently served on the Southwind visual staff in 2023. Additionally, he has experience judging marching competitions, contributing to the growth of the marching arts in the region. Before becoming a band director, he was a Cast Member at Walt Disney World. Blake is a member of the Florida Music Educators Association and the Florida Bandmasters Association.
