Harrison Barnes

Visual Intern

Harrison Barnes is excited to join the visual staff at Music City Drum & Bugle Corps as a native of the east Tennessee town of Kingsport. He began his marching career with Dobyns-Bennett High School in 2017, reaching its highest placement in history. Harrison began marching drum corps in 2019 as a field conductor for Shadow. After COVID-19, he marched Euphonium and Trombone for the Sacramento Mandarins in 2022 and Phantom Regiment in 2023.

Harrison recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, where he was also the squad leader for the Pride of the Southland Marching Band. He is now a 1L Juris Doctorate candidate at Texas A&M School of Law and is excited to study intellectual property to protect the rights of musicians.

While attending UT, Harrison assisted with Halls High School’s indoor program, where he discovered his passion for teaching. This will be his first season teaching at a drum corps, and he is incredibly excited to learn and grow alongside the members!
