Trey Pile

Trey Pile is currently student teaching within Conroe Independent School District, situated in the Houston, TX area. Trey is in his last semester at Texas Tech University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education through the BM + MME program. After graduating, he intends to continue to graduate school for Trumpet Performance.
Along with his studio mates, Trey has attended the National Trumpet Competition multiple times, with the most notable year being in 2024, bringing home a championship from the large ensemble division. Between performing in a brass quintet, the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and the Jazz Orchestra, Trey has been an active member of Texas Tech’s School of Music. Additionally, he contributed to the Goin’ Band from Raiderland, where he served as a marcher for three years and as a drum major for his final year, marching in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2023.
Outside of his university experience, Trey was a member of the Santa Clara Vanguard in 2022 and the Boston Crusaders in 2023 and 2024, where he held the position of horn sergeant for the 2024 season. He has also been involved in teaching, serving on the instructional staff of the Lubbock-Cooper Pirate Band for the 2022-2024 seasons, as well as holding the position of director and visual coordinator for the 2023 Lubbock-Cooper Indoor Marching Percussion Ensemble. In his free time, Trey enjoys exercising, listening to music, and watching horror movies.
