Summer Academy FAQs

The Music City Summer Academy is hosted on the campus’ of Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN and Itawamba Community College in Fulton, MS.

Each participant would learn music and techniques taught by our world-class education team. Music would be sent to the participant ahead of the Summer Academy.

Absolutely! In fact, the Summer Academy on July 1 is in coordination with our Friends and Family performance.

We ask that you do bring your own instrument or equipment for the summer academy. As you can imagine when we are on the road it is hard to carry extra.
Front ensemble participants will get to play with our instruments along with our members.

All summer academy participants will receive additional information including any music closer to the event you are registered for.

Each participant attending a summer academy session will get the experience of being in a drum corps first hand. They will be taught by our world-class educational team, mix and mingle with our 2023 performing members, eat their meals off the food truck, and be an honorary Music City member!
Each participant will also receive a Music City Summer Academy t-shirt to wear throughout the event.

Oh, yes! All participants will be fed out of the food truck for Lunch, Dinner, and Snack. You’re going to see what it’s like to be a member on the road!
