2022 Brass Team Leadership

Music City Drum Corps is excited to announce the new Brass Team Leadership of Andy Poor and Garrett Coscolluela.

Andy Poor will be serving as Brass Arranger and Brass Consultant with Garrett Coscolluela serving as Brass Caption Head.

Andy Poor, Brass Arranger

Andy has been involved in the drum corps activity for 36 years as a member, judge, instructor, and consultant. Andy began marching in the legendary Suncoast Sound hornlines under Hall of Fame members Robert W. Smith and Frank Williams. For over two decades, he has arranged for marching ensembles of all levels, including multiple high school bands, UT-Martin, Olivet-Nazarene University, and the University of Alabama. With 30 years as a public school educator, he currently serves as the Director of Bands at South Forsyth Middle School in Cumming, Georgia.

Garrett Coscolluela, Brass Caption Head

A Middle Tennessee native, Garrett is a trombonist and teacher based in Atlanta, GA. He maintains an active teaching studio and serves several middle and high school band programs in Forsyth, Fulton, and Cobb counties. Garrett regularly provides music and visual design, choreography, and instruction for various band, color guard, and indoor percussion and winds programs across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic. He holds performance degrees from Austin Peay State University (BM) and University of Central Arkansas (MM). While at UCA, Garrett performed with the internationally recognized ‘Natural Slides’ trombone choir, a showcase performing ensemble at the 2021 International Trombone Festival.

“I am honored and grateful to be joining the team at Music City. I’m excited for the opportunity for our brass staff to support the already great work the corps does for the community and its membership” said Garrett Coscolluela. “We are looking forward to meeting and working with members, volunteers, and fellow staff and are eager to get started!”
