Legacy Campaign

Help Music City and receive a piece of corps history

The events of the past 18 months have been an unprecedented challenge to organizations throughout the marching arts activity, and the Music City Drum Corps is no exception. The loss of revenue from the cancelled 2020 season and shortened 2021 season has required the expenditure of most of Music City’s reserve funds.

Despite the financial difficulties fielding a corps in 2021 presented, the Music City board of directors unanimously committed to delivering a World Class drum corps experience to this year’s performers who have worked so hard and sacrificed so much to keep this life-changing activity in front of audiences.

We now turn to the fans and supporters of Music City to help us meet our $30,000 fundraising goal by Sept. 30. As a gesture of gratitude, donors who make a gift of $250 or greater will receive an official Music City commemorative shako.

Only a limited number of the original red Music City shakos with the starburst emblem remain with the corps. These shakos are a piece of Music City history as they were worn by performers during the first nine seasons the corps competed within DCI.

You may support Music City by donating directly to the Legacy Shako Fundraiser, or by sponsoring a meal while the corps is on tour through Aug. 14, or by contributing to the Finis Sparkman Memorial Scholarship. Whatever your gift, it will help ensure future generations of young people will have the opportunity to enjoy and grow from the Music City experience. Thank you.
