Drum Corps Camp is Back!
After 15 long months of long-distance programming, the leadership team at Music City Drum Corps is excited to announce:
“We are back!”
Music City will play host to its first in-person camp Memorial Day weekend, May 28-31 at Freedom Middle School in Franklin, Tenn.
This will be a call-back camp for performers still auditioning and will be the only camp prior to the start of the summer experience on July 2, said Joe Roach, corps director.
“We are excited to get back to drum corps and feel very confident we will deliver a safe experience for everyone involved”, Roach said. “It will be an action-packed weekend as we finalize the cast and prepare for an exciting summer.”
Several new guidelines will be in place for the first weekend back in action. Music City will not require vaccination to attend camp but will require all participants to be vaccinated prior to moving in for the summer.
In addition, Music City will be enforcing new guidelines around social distancing, food service, sleeping arrangements and rehearsal protocols. All participants will be required to wear a mask while attending camp. Read more about our current pandemic guidelines here.
There is still time to register for Music City’s Virtual Audition Experience. You must be invited to attend the Memorial Day camp. Do not wait, sign up today!
