Andrew Miller

Front Ensemble Staff

Andrew Miller is a dedicated performer and educator who draws from a wide range of musical and educational influences. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music education from Middle Tennessee State University.

Andrew discovered his passion for music and teaching through his experiences with The Franklin Band in Franklin, Tennessee. The nationally recognized percussion ensemble and marching band were pivotal in shaping his musical path, particularly igniting his interest in marching percussion. Building on this foundation, he competed with renowned ensembles in WGI and DCI, including Music City Drum and Bugle Corps (2015), The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2016–2019), and Rhythm X Indoor Drumline (2018). During these years, he was mentored by distinguished educators like David Aydelott, Michael Holland, Rob Pastor, Dr. Andrew Lynge, Dr. Eric Willie, Michael McIntosh, Brett Kuhn, Alan Miller, Erik Johnson, Dr. Ryan Kilgore, and Lane Summerlin.

In recent years, Andrew has expanded his focus beyond marching percussion to hone his skills as a concert and solo percussionist, educator, and arranger. During his time at MTSU, he studied with Julie Davila, Lalo Davila, Russell Wharton, and Dr. Brian Mueller. Now, as a music editor at Synced Up Designs, Andrew continues to contribute to the music community, blending his passion for percussion with his commitment to music education.
