Judah Rendelman

Judah Rendelman is a music educator, conductor, and horn player from Columbia, South Carolina. They are currently the Choir Director and Assistant Band Director at Sandhills Middle School in Gaston, SC. Judah received their Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in Instrumental Music Education from the University of South Carolina, along with a French Horn Performance Certificate.
An advocate of artistry, Judah has had extensive work in the field of music education. In their first year at Sandhills Middle School, the Tiger Chorale performed at State Assessment (CPA) for the first time since 2013 and received a superior rating. They currently serve as Visual Technician with Music City Drum Corps from Nashville, TN; Visual Caption Head at Swansea High School from Swansea, SC; and Assistant Conductor for the Salem United Methodist Church Chancel Choir from Irmo, SC.
Judah is an active performer and musician across the Columbia area. They are a member of the Palmetto Concert Band and Carolina Winds on horn, and the South Carolina Brass Band on flugelhorn, also serving as conductor of the SCBB Party Band. Judah has performed as a soloist with the Lake Murray Symphony Orchestra, and has played with the Aiken Symphony several times. In 2022, they marched with the two-time world champion Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Rockford, IL.
Judah's professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education, American Choral Directors Association, South Carolina Music Educators Association, and the South Carolina Educators Association. An avid music listener and vinyl collector, they spend their free time enjoying beautiful Downtown Columbia.
