Katie Tzompanakis

Audio Intern

Katie Tzompanakis is a native of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. She has been involved in the marching arts since 2017, when she joined the front ensemble in marching band. She participated in the 2020 and 2021 WGI seasons with Mt. Juliet indoor drumline. She marched Music City Drum Corps from 2021-2023, with 2022 and 2023 setting records for the group’s highest scores. She is currently participating in her third season with the 8-time world champion indoor percussion group Music City Mystique (2022-2024).

In addition to pursuing her own marching career, Katie has worked with a number of high school marching bands. She assisted in instructing the Oakland high school front ensemble during the 2021 season. She was the audio engineer for Lebanon high school

for the 2022 season, continuing in 2023 as well as instructing the front ensemble. She also worked with the Summit high school front ensemble during the 2023 marching season and the 2024 indoor season.

Katie is planning to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in Audio Production from Middle Tennessee State University in December 2024. After she graduates, she plans to work in the Audio field in Nashville as she finishes out her marching career.
