Max Outland

Visual Staff

Max Outland is currently finishing his bachelor’s of Music Education from Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduation, Max's immediate goal is to launch a career in middle or high school music teaching. In the near future, he aspires to further his education with a Master's of Music degree, specializing in conducting and/or trombone performance.

Max was a member of the Phantom Regiment contra line during the 2019 and 2022 seasons. In 2023, he served on the Music City visual staff, primarily attempting to keep the trumpets’ feet in time. Max has also held visual and music positions with Brandon Valley High School, Brookings High School, and the Brandon Valley Indoor drumline.

In his free time, Max enjoys spending time in the bitterly cold South Dakota winter, riding his bison to school, and going bald. Max is extremely excited for his second season with Music City, and can’t wait to get started on 2024!
